Hello,
I am new to electric airplane. I actually have an Hobbico Accu-cycle Elite charger. http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...od_id=HOBP0280 Now, I will use li-po batteries and I need a balancer from what I understand. Which of theses two would be best to use with my charger ? And do I need any special connectors ? I will use Thunder Power Pro Lite 2100-3S-TP-Pro lite
Equinox Li-po cell balancer : http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...od_id=GPMM3160
OR
TP-205V-Balancer from : http://www.lightflightrc.com/
Thanks,
Séb

I have the same charger you have.
I'm not familiar with the balancer you mention.
I've been using two Dualsky balancer with the charger and have served me well. Check it out.

Thank you for your recommendation however I would really prefer to buy one of the two options I mention above because I have others items to order from thoses two places and I will save the shipping and duty-brokerage fees if it's from the us. I hope someone else can add feedback in regard to theses two balancer. I'd like to order tomorrow...

I have 2 of the Equinox balancers (one for each Triton charger) and they seem to work great still, nearly 2 years after I first got them. I have checked the individual cell voltages on my 3S LiPos after charging then in the "Interface" mode, which balances them as they charge, and my digital voltmeter always shows each cell within 0.01 volts of the rest of the cells. I've heard some folks say the Equinox with the Triton charger does not "peak" the cells as high as other chargers, but that just means I'll get a longer life out of my batteries, right?
Anyway, the Equinox balancer is easy to use, you'll just need to make or buy adapters to fit any battery that doesn't have the JST-type balancer plug.
