Default RE: charging battery

What type of battery?
What charger?

A link to the plane would be nice.

Wing struts are usually there for a reason. If you leave them off you run the risk of folding the wing on your first loop. If you think they are too weak, beef them up a bit more.

There is no information on the charger that I can find as to what its charge current is, so there is no way to tell exactly how long it will take to charge the battery.

Anyway, the total charge time will depend on how depleated the battery is. The charger has peak detection so it will cut off as soon as the battery is charged regardless of how much the battery needs. It could take as much as an hour if the charger's output is around 1.0 - 1.2 Amps for a totally depleted battery to just a few minutes if you are topping it off.

BTW, if you charge the battery all the way up then it's a day or two later before you fly, put the battery back on the charger to top it off. With a NiMH battery you can charge it up at any time, you don't have to discharge it first like you do a NiCD battery.

Look carefully on the charger and see if there is an output, in amps (A) - probably around .2A. If it were, it would take 5.5hours to charge a fully dead battery.
