Default ordering from HobbyKing

Does anyone know if it is faster to receive products from the warehouse in China or the one in Germany when having them shipped to the U.S.?

As for speed in the U.S. I can tell you from experience when I used to buyrocks & minerals from foreign dealers that orders from Europe usually arrived faster than from China. However, the last time I ordered from Hobby King I got it very fast, only took a couple of weeks. I always figured it would take at least 3 weeks.

Unfortunately, you can't order from the German warehouse to the USA. They will only deliver to the EU (European Union) countries. I usually suck it up and pay the extra for EMS Express shipping, and I always have my packages in around 1 week. I have tried the regular registered air, but the last order took 21 days.

I thought LIPOS couldn't be shipped via air. If you check the Tower site, you may see that statement by their LIPOS. Maybe that's just their policy.

I order batteries from them (HK) all the time, I have an order coming with 7 batteries in it right now. I have heard something about that before, but I have never had a problem ordering them from Hobby King. My orders have gone through Customs in Jamaica, NY, San Francisco, CA, and Los Angeles, CA, and they have always made it through ok.

Did you order EMS Express or regular Registered Air? If you ordered Registered air, that's a great timeframe. The last time I ordered Registered Air, it took 21 days. I usually pay the extra for th EMS Express, I usually get my orders in 5 or 6 days.

I just did standard shipping with my order. When I got an email saying that it shipped, and it could take up to 45 days, I had second thoughts. All is good. Fast shipping, good product, great prices.

I got my last order in 7 days from order to receiving over the MLK holiday. My first order took 10 days. As a whole it works well. When I put in a order it is usually including 2 or 3 flyers.

One thing I forgot to add is that when ordering items from over seas, warranty coverage is just about useless. I've made over 15 purchases from over seas and had one bad product.

I made my last order on 1/11, just a small one of some EC3 connectors. I arrived today. Not too bad for using their regular shipping.

I didn't notice it when I put the order in but yes, I got the cheap shipping. It looks like China is maybe speeding things up a bit and if this is the case I hope they continue it.

Same here.

If you order 1kg worth of stuff and get the EMS shipping, it's only about $5 more (compared to registered air-mail), and you typically get it in a week.

My first ever order with Hobby City was on January 19. I got a motor, ESC, props, and lipos, used the cheaper US shipping option, and got my stuff today (January 28).

I'm pretty surprised and impressed!
