ESC modification
 

To anyone who knows. I am new to electric power. I was told that by cutingthe red, black or white wire on an ESC with BEC, this would disabble the BEC. If so which wire. I would assume its not the black signal wire. that leaves 2.

To disable the BEC you have to cut the red wire.

Don't cut the wire. Just lift the tab on the plug and slip the wire out. Piece of heat shrink over the terminal and tape it to the harness.

That way down the line you can use the esc in something else that you don't need a stand alone bec in.
