Default Question engine/plane

I see the engine conversion with guys using the weedeater and saw engines. What planes are you guys using?

What conversion?

Bob Richards (fom NC ?) just bolts on the wings and flies
(I wonder what wings he converted to suit his blower)

The "Stick" type and "Trainer" type planes are popular for the weed whacker and small chainsaw conversions.

The plastic body chain saws are often good candidates for conversion as the bare engine unit typically separates from the rest of the saw easily with little grinding required.

Oh man, let's see. I have a big Great Planes Fokker DR1 with an Echo 23.6cc from a weedwacker, I have a CMP 72" wingspan Katana with the same engine, (though hopped up). I have a huge NitroPlanes Tiger Moth biplane (76" span) with a Ryobi 31cc. I have a CMP Giles 202 (72" span) with a Homelite 30cc, a Giant Stik with a twin made out of two Echo weedie engines, and a Big Stik with a Stihl 27cc. I am sure I am forgetting some planes of mine.... I won't even start on the weedie powered planes my brother and other flying buddies have. The possiblities are endless.

And I am not talking about lackluster performance either. Both the Katana and the Giles are rockets!! The Fokker and the Tiger Moth don't even know what "scale flight" means!!

Here's a few. All "weedie" or leaf blower powered, and all fly super!

Yep, even the Giant Eindekker. It has a Honda GX31cc four stroke weedeater engine. Flew better than scale; would loop from level flight. I sold that one....

What would be considered a trainer airplane for a weedy engine or saw engine?
Links would be awesome.

Good choice. Are we talking to learn from "scratch" or move up from flying glow or electric planes?

Anyone know where to get a wing kit for an Ace 4-120 Bipe?
Have one with a Ryobi on it that needs repairs to one wing and the other needs replaced. Crosswind landing cartwheel. Funny, don't ever remember learning that maneuver but I executed it perfectly I'm told.
