I have a Polan 36 brand new from a Polan chainsaw..89.00 home depot...
when I choke it fuel does not reach carb...it just moves back and forth in the line a little...I have the line going to the large tube on the carb and the little one blocked off ...am I screwing up somewhere? Thanks for any help!

Am I reading this right, you have 2 lines, one to the carb and the other blocked off? If this is correct you need to unblock the other line because it needs a vent line to be able to draw the fuel to the carb.

you might have the wrong one pluged off. In my expereance the fuel lead that is next to the mixture adjustment needle(s) is the one for the primer bulb and should be blocked off. Now Its rare, but I have seen walbros with that lead placed else ware on the carb body but its not likely. Piper

Thanks Piper but actually I tried both tubes from the carb but either way it wouldn't draw any fuel. It's a brand new motor so I doubt if the carb diaphrams are stuck like some engines that have been laying around for a long time can get. I really didnt want to mess with the diaphrams if I didnt have to cause sometimes you have more problems from messing with it. thanks for the reply

At this time I'm a "Field Crasher". You know one of the guys who is"just driving" by and stopped in, with his planes in the back of the car. Actually we are in the process of starting a new club in my area, but it is slow going.

once you've checked everything and still it wont run, get some turkey feathers, make a headress, lite a bond fire and scrafice a virgin Great Planes SuperSporster 120. Only then will the motor gods smile on you and allow your motor to run correctly!....LOL..sorry guys, I cant help myself sometimes. But it does seem to be the only thing that works sometimes...
