Default Mounting an Ryobi old style

I'm*contemplating*mounts for a old style Ryobi (It's actually a Stihl, but looks *identical**to the Ryobi. I'm thinking of machining a Delrin ring 3/8" thick to the front of the case (using the existing tapped holes) and run 3, 1/2" aluminum rods back 5 1/2 ". *Bad idea? *I could machine the ring from 1/4" aluminum. *I thought the Delrin might absorb some vibration. *This style engine does pose mounting problems as stated in the weed wacker sticky post.

What about a box type mount like the ones shown on the Ryobi that's made by WackerEngines ? You would need a carb spacer also for this kind of mount. http://www.hellotrade.com/wackerengines/product1.html
