I have been watching the weedys fly around in everything that will allow one to fit, but I have yet to see a weedy event (performance or race) for these things. There are several aircraft that would fit the bill very well for racing. How about starting an event for weedys only using a stock weedy for power, make up as many rules as you want. It is about time to stop making these engines into something else. Let them be what they are and have some fun with them. These little industrial engines really shine as a good dependable, inexpensive power plant. They are more readily available than most of the other engines, and the modelers all have fun converting them and seeing something they did work well.
Maybe there is an event already. Just thinking
