Default What is this engine?

Came out of a Craftsman 15" weed whacker. Has a reed valve, crank goes thru both sides. It is 26.2cc.

it is a poulan weedeater brand best thing to do is toss it aside and get a newer model or different brand. The newer models make for good engines .

I dunno what it is but it looks like you could trim off the back shaft and slap a mounting plate on it. Throw a short shaft hub for a homelite conversion on it and see what it will turn. Finding out what can be done with it is half the fun.

I think you'll find that the mag timing is set for rh rotation, so if you were to try to use it you have to modify the timing. Or you could put cdi on it but too expensive I think. I have a few of these just to tinker with but havent really tried to make one flyable.

Hi there,

Can anyone maybe tell me what engine this is and what displacement it has please. I got it from a friend and some conversion has been done to it and therefore all markings are removed except for a number on the flywheel : F2T80371 and it looks like a mitsibushi logo on the other side of the flywheel.

I would really want some info here please.
