Default Attention E-bay Shoppers

We are starting to see Ch ignitions on E-bay listed as NIB. Well honstly they are NOS. CH has been building ignitions for over 20 years and there are lots of them out there. We see quite a few never used ignitions that are over 15 years old. Most of these old units have bad coils in them and to repair/update is not cost effictive. So as a guide here are some basic breakdowns of single cylinder CH ignitions.
1. Has the lead coming out of the top or bottom of the case. The leads are exposed copper braid. The case is brownish/copper and is a rectangle with a yellowish CH sticker on it . **** this unit is 18-22 years old.
2. Has the lead coming out of the side. The leads are exposed copper braid. The case is rectangle and is brown with yellow lettering.
***this unit is 12-18 years old.
3. Has the lead coming out of the side. The plug lead is covered with black tubing. The case is almost square and is brown with yellow letters. ***this unit is 6-12 years old.
4. Has the lead coming out of the side. The plug lead is covered with black tubing. The case is almost square and is aluminum . *** this unit is 6 years old to current.
If any doubt call .

Thanks,

N.O.S. as I understand it is New Old Stock. An item or items that have been on hand for sometime and are now being sold to reduce inventory.

Terry, what's the difference between red and black lettering in the latest units? Thanks.

One is Red the other is Black
The printer ran out of ink and changed in the middle of a run. This stuff is special and is baked on to last longer.
