Default Engine mounted starting system

A few years ago there was an article in RCM about a guy who was producing engine mounted starting systems for aircraft. Does any body know which issue that was and wether or not the guy is still doing it?

Kavan from Germany used to make one and Hobby Lobby of Brentwood TN sold it. I don't know if they still do. They advertise on here all the time.

Enjoy,

Jim

Well thats a start. But the one I am looking for was made in the U.S. I really hope someone remembers it. I beleive they were custom built for which ever engine you wanted it for. It was back in 97 so who know. Probably one of those things that gets the big review and then never takes off. THey were priced really well too. OH WELL?!?!?!

THat sounds familiar. Could be the guy. Tell you what I did find was the FEMA on-board starting system. Hobby lobby Int. carries them. Any one familiar with this particular system?
