This http://www.flyinglindy.homestead.com...struction.html is what I did with a pair of Ryobi's that I converted using Jag http://jagengines.com/ conversion parts.
The aircraft got dorked but not due to the engines. Repairs are under way and the same motors go right back on. They spool up so evenly and smoothly.. I've converted a couple more for single engine airplanes and will do more in the future..
The guys at Jag treated me great and I like the cast motor mount...

Hi Randy;
I am building a Ziroli B-25 and want to purchase a couple of Ryobi's for it. I hate to drum up bad memories but...........
could you tell us more on what happened so as I do not repeat the same mistake. Were the engines powerfull enough?. How was the climb out rate? or did you get that far. Looks like you did a great job, my hat is off to you. Thanks again
Peter.

Peter.... I never mind hashing over a crash if it helps others in the future. I am guarded on my comments on this however as I asked a friend to fly it as I could not at the time ( physically ). I don't ever want to cast a shadow his way for him trying to help me. That being said....
It seemed to pull out smartly, a good portion of flap was deployed and I believe that it lifted off earlier than it should have and pitched up which eventually caused a couple of huge porpose effects and finally contacting the ground under full throttle and pretty well nose down. Not a pretty scene! E-mail me and I will send you a file that I wrote soon after the episode. Memory always changes things with time so I wrote and saved the file..

Doing a search of two conversion engines one plane (twin), your thread is the only one that comes up. Would you take a peek at my post titled "Have a plane, need to select the engines" and see if you can give me any advice? Thanks!
