Thanks for the pics!

Hmm... My little 16cc Kioritz had ball bearings, and all the others, (23.6cc and up), I've had have had ball bearings as well. I do have a 21cc engine that I haven't taken apart yet. I was going to use it to convert for a plane for my brother. Maybe I'll just leave/use it as a blower.

was this on some kind of hedge trimmer? these will sometimes use needle bearings on the crank to cope with higher radial loads....a lot of older chainsaws will also have a needle bearing on the clutch side for the same reason.

Zagnut, It was on a weed whip, labeled MAC. I'll finish the conversion and see what happens ?
