Homelite 33cc Walbro Carb
#1
I purchased a Homelite 33cc engine from ebay and got it started. I would run unless I held my finger over the air intake creating a choked condition. I figured the pump on the carb wasn't working right so I took everything off the engine and looke for possible air leaks. I took the Walbro carb apart and didn't see any rips or tears in the diaphram. I put it all back together and tried running it. It ran a little better, but it would surge and really wouldn't run unless it was at full throttle and then it wasn't running at full speed. I tried adjusting the needle valves with little or no change. I then opene up the carb and looked at the diaphram. It has some gas on the vent side. I don't think it's supposed to get gas on that side. I inspected the diaphram and still couldn't find any rips, tears, or punctures. I'm thinking I need a rebuilt kit. Where do you get those? I would appreciate any other suggestions for correcting this problem. Thanks

Take the carb to any good small engine chainsaw shop and get your new carb parts there. No use sending for parts. That way your can get it running the same day. Good Luck Capt,n
