Has anyone seen the new line of Toro weed wackers at Home Depot?I was looking at one last weekend and they look like they are quite well built. The engine looks like it might possibly be of Japanese origin.Looks very similiar to a Kioritz(Echo)in construction and the cylinder fins are amazingly thin compared to other engines of similiar displacement.Should disipate heat real well.It has a real nice rotary valve carb which runs perfectly in line for R/C throttle control purposes. No bell cranks or fancy linkages needed here.Don't know what make of carb it is though. No identifiable markings visible.Too much plastic shrouding in the way.Anyone done one of these yet?

I've been waiting for somebody to convert one of these, too. The thing does look like either Kioritz or Zenoah. I think the carb will be just like almost every weedie carb out there - uselessly small for making good power as RC engine. Swap to a big bore carb is easy, though.
For now, the Cub Kadet 25cc weedie is a surer bet, as it has the same shaft taper as zenoah, so conversion parts are easier to come by. Very similarly to the Toro in quality.
