Things are kind of slow in this forum lately, and a couple of "hassles" in the threads. What's wrong, "dog days of summer" getting to everyone??
Well, I know I'm ready for fall. I just went out to fly, and attempted to take off with my Phoenix, with the antenna still down!! I was trying to rush and get a flight in before it got really hot out. Luckily it just had a relatively minor crash on take-off, and an hour later I had it fixed and flying. How stupid!!
Oh well... cheer up everyone!
Take care,

Too busy with women huh? Hope that's a good thing. It was for me when I lived in Mexico. Wow!
I've got my Phoenix/Kioritz 23.6cc, and Ultra Lite Stick 120/Homelite 25cc all dialed in and flying well. The Hangar 9 Twist I'm building just for a change of pace only needs the radio installed. Might get to that this weekend yet. Then I'm going to build a souped up Homelite 30cc for the Ultra Stick. Still trying to figure out how to do the header for the tuned pipe on that one. It needs several complicated bends in it as I want to mount the tuned pipe underneath the fuselage. It's going to look kind of neat; like it's carrying a bomb or torpedo or something!
Next, I'm not sure. I'm thinking one of my biplane projects. Possibly my Dymond Models 72" Tiger Moth with a Ryobi. That should be fun. We'll see...

More converted engine than planes? Hmmm... I can't exactly claim that, since I have some 25 ARFs still NIB and another 6-7 flying. I do, however, have more converted engines than I know what to do. Might have to have a RCU 'garage sale" pretty soon.
Here's a family photo of some of my babies, free engine of your choice if you can name every one of them.

Actually, the hubless one in the middle row has the same shaft taper as a Fuji 50, so I could just put the big ol' magneto flywheel I took off the Fuji and slap it on there along with a spare prop hub.

OH MAN, I love trikes. I saw one up town the other day that was someones daily driver. It was all dirty, wire ties and baling wire all over it, miss matched paint, even used the stock rear seat from the VW. Really cool, would definitely qualify as a Rat Rod. There was an old shovel head parked right beside it that was in the same shape, looked wonderful. Yeah well, the shiny, painted, chromed ones are nice too.

Well, I've been attempting to finish my Platt FW-190. It is going to use the Poulan 46 so many of you were kind enough to help me convert. I've got a Poulan 42 waiting in the wings once this FW is in the air. It will go on my Ryan's Rebel. I'm adding a smoker system to that plane. Not enough time to get it all done.

Thanks BigBird1 & Zagnut. I think it's going to work out well. Personally, I've always thought the FW-190 was all-in-all, the best design of WWII. Others later eclipsed it's performance, but with the materials at hand at the stage it was originally introduced, it did more things better and longer than most other planes. That, and it looks dangerous! Just a personal opinion. You don't have to respect the cause to respect the design. BTW, that is a 1960 model in the picture with the FW. I've had it twenty years and I think she is a keeper!
