Where to get Walbro carbs?
Does anyone know of a good place I can special order carbs from Walbro? I have finally given up on the non-adjustable stock carb on my Honda GX25 conversion, but my local lawnmower shop is useless.
Cheers,
Charlie

RE: Where to get Walbro carbs?
The right size for a 25cc Homelite is a carb with a 7/16" or 11mm bore. This would be a Walbro with a little "28" stamped inside the inlet. Sometimes they have a "27" in them. The Homelite 25's original carb is a 5/16" 8mm "20" carb. A 3/8" 9.5mm "24" carb makes one run a lot better.
Some Walbro numbers for the 7/16" (11mm) carbs are WA-167-1 and WT-499.
The ones I have were the original equipment carbs for the latter model Zenoah G23's. The current G26 carb is a 1/2" "32" carb and is too large for a 25 homelite used on a airplane but would be OK on a highly modified one used in a boat.
The smaller 32 or 33cc chain saws mostly have a 11mm carb.
Whatever you use, it must have both a high speed and a low speed needle valve.
Also on a carb with the fuel return tube on it, This must be plugged unless you also have the little pumper bulb on the engine. This tube will suck air if you do not have the pump in the line or at least a check valve in the line. It's easier to just plug it.
Go to www.walbro.com and look around a little. You can find the numbers mentioned as well as typical size combinations. The parts breakdown pictures on the WT & WA's are rather universal. You will need to look at the parts list to the side to see what comes with them.
There's a WA-167-1 right now on a popular site. Just search for Walbro. Right now it's at $7 but has 12 hrs to go. It happens to be a take-off from a late model Zenoah 23.
Enjoy,
Jim
