what would you all recomend for a Kango Monocoupe 90a 1/4 scale 96in wing span 14lbs ARF. I have both but dont know what to use. can I use the same prop addapter for the 33cc. the book for the 33cc bandit chain saw rares this engine @ 1.74 HP but thats with stock muff. I have a pitts style for a G26.

The engines weigh about the same once you trim the extra metal off the 25.

The 33 has much ore power right out of the box.

The same prop adapter will fit either engine providing the 25 was a short shaft version.

The prop adapter used on the 33 needs a little more area at the flange ends to better absorb the extra power.

Enjoy,

Jim

I would use the 33 cc just because of the wing span. I think 80 inch is the limit for any 25cc unless you don't want much performance.

The Marauder (Monocoupe) will fly well on 91 glow four stroke, since you want a gasser go with the 25cc homelite. Save the 33cc homelite for a 120 Stinger or something more Aerobatic. The monocoupe will fly very scale will require lots of rudder work to do coordinated turns. I hope your not looking for this plane to do waterfalls, outrageous tricks or prop hangs.

Monocoupes are really scale flyers.........

The 25cc with the bigger carb has almost as much power as the 33 and is easier to start. The 33 does come with the bigger carb already, so you might save some money there. I think you'd be happy with either one. I have a 25 (with bigger carb) in an 80" WACO bipe and it flies it very well. I have a 33 in a BUSA Triplane and it really hauls it. Both planes are about 14.5 lbs.

I think I would try the 25 and if you feel it needs more power put the 33 in.
