Default Throttle cables

Can I use a metal cable or metal push rod for the throttle on a Poulan 25cc motor. I have read that it will cause RF interference if you use a metal cable from the servo to carb. What are you using.

You need to use a nylon push rod(goldin rod) not any metal to metal.

Sullivan has a newer rod that has a white sheath and a black rod. It has a lower coefficient of expansion and there will be fewer throttle trim changes with the changes in ambient temperature.

Make sure you keep the plastic rod away from the muffler heat. It will melt.

Enjoy,

Jim

everything what can fail, is going to fail, the metal push rod can act like antenna, and it will do!
