Aero Nut,Horizon would have them,,HOWEVER,,,,[X(],I have no clue to what model number to use yet,but the prices for the carbs run from $50 to around $90,My luck it's the $90 version..if that is the case then better forget that project.

So Guys,
What different in a Zenoah alcohol carburetor than in all the other Walbro carburetor? Can a person rebuild a normal carbarator to withstand Alcohol usage? Can one get the parts to do so?
Thanks,
Don

Nothing different, Zenoah just found a Walbro from some piece of lawn and garden equipment that has internal fuel passages large enough for methanol...The WT499 from the glow G23 will work with either gas or glow fuel...It's not is stock at Walbro, maybe Horizon would have one, be prepared to pay more than the $48.18 retail price...
There are no special parts, anyone that says so is INCORRECT..
The normall diaphragms work just fine...
If you want to do it yourself just double the AREA, not diameter, of the internal fuel passages, including the 3 small holes under the welch plug..The inlet needle hole is probably large enough..All current inlet needles have a viton tip, methanol resistant...We use modified regular Walbros in our methanol and nitro fueled racers with no problems for an entire race season....

RCIGN1,
Thanks for clarification of the differences between the carb requirements for alcohol and gas.
I've another question regarding two needle valves, Somewhere I read that some carbs have a plug over the high speed needle that can be removed and the needle adjusted. Is there any truth to this? Don't mean to be changing the thread direction, if I'm out of line please let me know.
Regards,
Don

To double the Area -- D2 = 2.8 x D1
D1 is extisting size - measure with a drill bit
D2 new size for double area
Thie is actually a bit under, actually -- R2 = sqrt(2) x R1 ( note these are radius and need to be doubled for diameter)
But by the time the bit gets done ripping and gougeing that soft metal it will probably be close enough.
This comes from doing a little algebra on the formula for the area of a circle.
