Walbro specifics?
OK, I've looked all over trying to determine what is so special about the WT-499s other than they are used on Zenoahs. Converting to glow with a WT-324. Venturis are the same so I wonder if the jetting is different. I checked Walbro's site and I didn't find specifics. Anyone know how good a WT-324 is? It came off a Poulan chainsaw so I would imagine it would have to flow a fair amount of fuel to run a 16 in saw. It has a high and low speed needle so I'm not quite understanding why it wouldn't be able to be adjusted in. I read a good thread about a Ryobi with a WT-499 converted to glow. Any Walbro experts?

RE: Walbro specifics?
The inlet needle tip should be the red viton tip needle. and the fuel pump diaphragm the brown woven fiberglass for increased resistance to alcohol.
None of the walbros can handle 100% alcohol fuels.
The standard rubber parts don't have the resistance you need.

Nothing special about the WT499, it just happens to be calibrated for something that uses lots of gas...There are others that will work..They all cost about $50 retail..the 499 comes on the G23 glow engine...

RE: Walbro specifics?
Hello
I have a converted homelite 25cc. And a quadra 35cc. The homelites carb has a hook up for the primer bulb, I have seen people just add a piece of tubing as a vent or some conect it with a"T" fitting to the other input. As some block this hole off? The quadra dosent have this and runs great. What is the proper thing to do with the primer port on the walbro carb
