The Maloney has been out of production for quite a long time.I believe it was sold originally by World Engines at one time and then later on by Jim Goad at Indy RC(I believe, but not certain).Like I said,it has been quite a number of years since it was last on the market and finding parts will be extremely difficult. All I remember about the Maloney's is that they were a bear to try and hand start. They had to be spun very quickly to generate enough spark to fire. Some guy's loved them, others totally hated them.Indy RC is now Horizon and I don't know if it's worth following up on or not but you may want to inquire with them just for the hell of it to see if they have any old Maloney stock kicking around. They know longer carry the ASP engine line after acquiring Indy RC a few years ago but they still have some left over parts inventory for these engines in their warehouse. The worst they can say is "no".

Rings and bearings are available from other sources. Carb and ignition parts also.

Tell us what you think is broken?

Enjoy,

Jim

Sounds like your parts are available cheap. $60 bucks for an almost new engine, wouldn't pass that up! I have the 100 and 125. Set the coil/flywheel airgap right and it runs pretty well. You could also go electronic ignition too.

Hi Grumpy,
I have often seen these engines sold real cheap on Ebay and RCU classifieds. Just yesterday Someone had two on RCU for $25 each. Of course they are gone now. Keep your eyes open. You can also find great deals on much better engines also.

Dave
