I have a Tanaka weedwhacker engine and it is manufactured by Robin. The one I have is 24.5cc and has two piston rings. Very good compression. I have converted two of the single ring Robin 24.5cc engine and they run great with C H ignition. I remove the mag and flywheel and use a Zenoah g23/26 prop hub (bolts right on) and a Zenoah Muffler. I also put a Walbro WT391 carb to improve the performance. I get 7200 rpm on a 16x8 Zinger prop.

EL TEM: Is it very easy to find used engines in Chile? We can find lots of engines here in Mich...USA. Not enough time to convert all that can be found! Do you live near a big city? May find more there. Take Care my friend. capt,n

My original plans were to convert a pair of them (done) and put them on my 96" Palmer OV10 Bronco. That was before the weight went from an estimated 30 pounds to a definite 40 pounds. I'm now looking for something in the 30-32 cc range. I built an enlarged Stik to test the engines on and like it so much I will keep the engines and fly the thing for everyday fun.

capttinjohn,

****co is on the south of Chile, 270.000 persons, here we are on the midle of forest zone, we have a lot ofused engines but they are very bad, but some time we found some new 23cc "Tanaka" in US$70.- here is a low price.

gsmith

thats a very nice model, i liked the side position of the engine, on that position the spark never wet.
