There are several small engine parts houses that sell on the web. The best method to get exactly the carb positioning you need is to make your own. You can get a sheet of G10 material from McMaster Carr. I think I paid around $40.00 for mine and have made several blocks. It threads easily and is easy to work with.

I've seen two different models of insulators on MACS. The older ones had a insulator with a round exterior. The last ones had a rectangular exterior.

The old style works better on a cylinder that's been cut down.

The carb sat at the same angle on both of them.

Enjoy,

Jim

The ones I have are dry rot and falling apart. The carb side is round and the cylinder side is rectangle.

This sounds like the newer version but it really doesn't make any difference either one fits.

They havn't made Mac Whackers since 1999 or somewhere along there. They went belly up and then a Japanese company bought them and makes the chain saws only.

You can make your own or try some of the companies that sell lawn mower parts over the internet. You will need to search with Google. For hints, try Outdoor Distributors near Birmingham, Al. There's another active place in O'fallen, MO.

Enjoy,

Jim
