well its a start i got my homelite 25cc running today. i had to do some tweaking the high speed needle was way leaned out. but after getting it running and adjusted(mind you i am no engine expert so it may need more needle adjustment) i got it running and running good. at first i couldnt get above 4500 rpms but like i said i adjusted the carb a bit and managed on an 18-8 to get it to peak at 8500 but its rpm rating is probably only 7500 if my tach is reading right. it kept spiking but it may be due to my measurement taking skills with my gadget. i am guessing that 7500 is going to me my rpm rating on the top end. man that was nice to hear. one of my rc buddies was over as well as my father who made a comtribution to the project my making some parts like the prop hub and turning the magneto fins down. i was rather pleased to see the vibration wasnt as bad as i would have imagined. i will post pictures soon so you can see my test stand. that thing didnt budge. i made sure the test stand was sturdy since i have had previous bad experience with an engine testing. all went well and i want to thank dave wallace for his advice and rysium(whom without his video i would have given up) for inspiration this would work out.

If you can get that Homie 25 to pull 8500rpm on an 18x8, you've got quite a firebreather there.
That would be more like what a modified Homie would do. For a run-of-the-mill Homie 25, 7500 sounds about right. Still very good power for what you invested into it, obviously.

i already gutted it and drilled holes in the bottom that you cant see from the picture however i didnt put any down chutes. but i made sure to gut the muffler because its cheaper than the aluminum mufflers.

Use silver solder or braze them back together. The ones with slots....just hammer the louvers flat and weld shut. Then drill and add exhaust stub or stubs. Capt,n
