It being a single, it's probably going to jump up and down too?

Take a solid plane to hold it down?

Enjoy,

Jim

I ran this chain saw for about a year.

Lots of torque and a lower rpm. I sold it and bought an 088. More power but at a higher rpm.

The 090 should turn a LARGE prop to 7500rpm.

The 088 turnes 13000 with a little porting and a hollower out muffler.

Ralph

Did you leave the govener on the engine?

These things are governed for 7000 rpm...I had heard that lumberjacks took the governor off....It's an air vane thing like Briggs and Stratton lawn mowers use...It's gone...
I think it's going on a very large Spitfire...
It doesn't seem to shake too bad...I tested it on my Black and Decker Workmate test stand...Had to hold it down, though....
We use TWO of these cylinders on our Herbrandson racing twins...Estimated HP on glow fuel is about 30.....The stock version is 26 hp....
Maybe we should use 088 cylinders on the race engine, we turn the 090 version at 9000+
