Default What is this Port for on the Carb/Engine intake?

Hello All,

What is the port for in the pictures indicated by the tip of the pen. One picture is of the carb, and the other is of the engine intake. Both of these ports line up (via the carb adapter). What purpose do these serve? Any suggestions?

I think the engine is a Poulan 42.... but I'm not sure.

Cheers,

Marcus

Carb pressure pulse port. If this is blocked carb wont pump fuel and engine wont run.
