Default 50 cc Beam mount ?

Does anyone know of a 45 to 50 cc motor that can be mounted on a beam? and is on the centerline of the crank? I am building a 1/5 Platt Spitfire that has the beams allready mounted. Thanks Rich

The Echo engines I convert have beam mounts. The Echo is the same as BME uses for the 44 and 50cc. I use the Hangar 9 mount. Here is a picture of a 44cc on a Hangar 9 Edge.

Tim what is the width of the 50 cc at the beam mount? Do they make a rear pits muffler for the Echo? Do you sell motors or just do conversions? Thanks Rich

The Poulan 46 also is a beam mount, the Homelite 45 too.

Add to the Poulan line the 42cc. Also available in the Craftsman branded saws. I use the J&A Pitts style muffler on mine.

The overall width of the mounting beam on the 50cc engine is about 3-5/16 inches. The overall width of the engine mounted in the Hangar 9 mount is right at 3-11/16.

My beam is 23/8 on the inside. I may have to cut off the hole nose in order to use a gas motor. Thanks everyone for the input. Rich
