Good afternoon fellow converts.
I need a motor for senior telemaster.96 inch span 1300+ square inches of wing @ 11-12 pounds. What would fit good and fly good on this big ol' plane??Does anybody have one flying on conversion?
How about ryobi 31?

Thanks.

Hi mitty,
We had one that flew well with a OS 61 pumper, so any good converted trimmer engine should be fine. A Ryobi 31 would be ok, but you may need to shorten the nose to get the CG right. Build it stock, then balance it when it is framed up and you will see if you need to move the firewall backor not. A Homelite 25 would be good and parts are really available.

I'm putting a 25cc blower conversion engine on my Sr. that I'm building...the extra weight in the front gives me the excuse to sheet the rear of the fuse and to put dual servos on for the elevator and to move em way back

Kioritz 21 TO 25cc. An older 23.6cc if you can find one. Light and powerful. Pretty easy to convert. I have several of them on .60 to .90 size planes and I love them.

A friend of mine flies one with a Poulan 25. He also used a Homelite 45 until he crashed it, then he wnt back with the 25. Not much difference in flying except the shorter takeoff.
