I forgot I had this engine. Just came across it in a box. I vaguely remember something about buying it around 7 years ago... Damned if I remember what it is, though. Not a Zenoah, I'm pretty sure. It has Phelan stamped on the flywheel.
You can see that the carb and exhaust are on the opposite end of the engine from the driveshaft - not a design I'm familiar with.
I remember that it had been set up for powering a giant-scale plane. I seem to remember getting it for a Bud Nosen 1/4 scale Citabria, but then I sold the kit. Guess I thought I sold the engine, too.
Any help is appreciated. I'm going to sell it, I guess, and it would help to know what it is.
Thanks!

propellermonkey,
Let's not rush to judgement. Notice the the Walbro coil is not attached to the cylinder as in recent Ryobi's. The case is the early style, like the Evra 190 offered by Hobby Lobby in the around 1980. It is a twin ringed version and may be a 28cc. The carb is under sized, 7 to 8mm. It is a Ryobi, but a very early version.

I was just saying that it was because I found a receipt where I bought one on eBay about 8 years ago. I don't think I've bought any other gas engines, so either it's 1) the Ryobi .31 that I bought then, 2) a smaller one, like dave says, and the seller ripped me, or 3) I bought a .31 and have absolutely forgotten it, and it's still around in the madness that is my attic.
Thanks, guys! Anybody care to give me an opinio as to what I should be asking for this bad boy when I sell it?
