I am looking at buying a NOS short block Mcculloch 57cc for a timber bear 610. Does anyone know if this is a good conversion? From the pics it looks like it may be a long stroke engine, but I cannot tell for sure. I am looking for something to power a 27% aerobatic airplane.

Thanks,

Ed H

ED,
The timber bear blocks that I have seen were very heavy. You will need to trim a lot of metal away. The transfer passages may need to be enlarged also. Here is a link for the pro mac 610. It is a 60cc engine that uses a Walbro HDB 16mm carb.
