Default 45cc Homey in P-51?

Am I kidding myself thinking I can fit the converted homelite chainsaw 45 cc motor in the narrow cowl of the TF GS P-51? Anyone have experience with this?

andernamen,
The 45cc Honey will fit fine. You will have to use a wrap around pitts muffler and the carb will stick out a little.

What muffler will work with the homelite 45 cc? I know wacker engines, but are there any off the shelf at my LHS that will work? Would a G45 exhaust work? Finally in a position to get this P-51 going after a long delay.

FINALLY flew today, so the answer to this question is a resounding YES. Not the fastest, but plenty of power and no issues. The engine runs really well on magneto. This conversion is well worth it in my opinion. A really nice running engine for not a lot of money.
