Hey guys I'm completly new to gas engines and am wondering if the motor I have can be converted or used... Its a Weed Eater Model GTI 15. If anyone has any information on it that would be just great thanks.

look on the engine id plate and it should tell you what the displacement is. the weedeater trimmers tend to advertise different cc's than what the engine actually is. eg: the box will say 21cc and it will actually be a 25cc.
if you have the 25cc, some porting and converting it to either EI or GGL (gas glow mix) will provide a light engine with decent power. if porting and modifying isnt your thing, i would look for a homelite or echo.

I basically stripped the engine from the trimmer arm and took the plastic covering off. I have a bit of cleaning up to do so i can find that ID tag. Thanks for your help.

it should be on the plastic parts that you took off. it is a sticker, so it might be long gone.
try the poulan website and search for that model number, something should come up.
