Honda GX-31 & GX-35. No oil/gas mixing, and reports have it that they do fine running inverted. I have one that I haven't gotten around to converting yet. (A 31cc) It's destined for an SR Batteries giant Eindekker, someday....

Honda also has a 50cc.
Carr Precision does the Honda 25-50cc conversions.

The 50cc is big and heavy, think more lawn mower than trimmer size. Briggs and Stratton has a 40cc but it is no more powerful than the Honda GX35. Best bet is the GX35.

THANK you all for such positive and fast help. The plane will NEVER invert. Maybe during a crash ?

I am doing the prep work on my first 6 engined plane. Have completed 4 engine jobs.
Either a Blohm-Voss BV-238..... or the Tupolev ANT-20 Maximum Gorki.

1 engine with a single double sided timing belt to power all the props at a slow high pitch speed.

Have done this setup on small stuff.

Will pick 1 up used at a mower shop.

Thank you, thank you, very much. WAAHHHOOOO!!

GX35s are about $220 new. It can be mounted inverted as it has a 360 deg oil sump.

Maybe I have lived a good life.
I loved cubic inches as a kid. And they are less toxic than Lead as ballest.

I like bigger planes and multis. I am also CHEAP. I could not justify big electrics in any form.

Thanks for having this forum. I am on gas.

Suddenly a 8' to 12' take apart, to 4' pieces, looks very good.

I just approved a large allowence for myself. Life is good again.

What size props are normal ? At what rpm ? Anyone tell me how much thrust is average ?
I build in solid bodied bluefoam.
72" China Clipper is 3.5 lbs. ...... 80" A-10 is 8 lbs.

They come out pretty light and easy to make.
