need help with carb for homelite 25cc...
I need to find a carb for a homelite 25cc, as the one that was on this motor seems to have disappeared, and I'ld like to find it for as little as possible .
I have an old blower I guess I need to yank apart tomorrow and find out if it's carb is worth salvaging.....
I was also curious what y'all thought about running this motor on a four star 120?

That engine would work fine on a Four Star 120. E-bay seems to be the cheapest for carbs. You want a carb with an 11mm venturi and two adjustment screws/needles. The original would have been a bit small anyway, so no loss. You can check carb sizes by entering whatever number you find in the appropriate place on the Walbro website. (Click on "Aftermarket and Service")

The WT-644 carb is a 12.7mm venturi and is a bit large for a Homelite 25cc, especially if it isn't modified by porting, etc. Better to stick with the commonly used 11mm venturi.
Here's where you can check sizes of the various numbered carbs: http://wem.walbro.com/walbro/product...44-1&Series=WT Once again, verify that the carb you intend to buy has two mixture adjustment screws so that you can adjust both low and high speed mixtures.
Engine looks good.

The best carb for that engine will have a number 28 stamped just inside the throat. It is a bigger venturi than the one that comes with it and it really makes the engine come alive.

ok couple of quick questions again......
I got hold of a wt-141 off an old poulan blower motor. I think that venturi is to small however.....
would a wt-324 work well on this engine? I found them dirt cheap on ebay...

thanks av8tor. I ordered one of them for 13.95 on ebay brand new .
I also got a kit from wacker engines with a flat plate mount. I'll have a good hub and mount now , plus a rotator manifold etc.
That is a short shaft motor right......I'm almost positive I got that right...
