Spark Ignition with Glow Fuel

I know that I've seen a couple of threads on this, but I can't find them. I have a ST .90 in my trainer/sunday flier that I would like to convert to ignition. I'm not worried about running gasoline as glow fuel isn't that expensive compared to gas anymore. I was thinking about using the RCExcel ignition. Here's a link to an ad. http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=355397
I'm looking to see if anyone has converted their glow engine to spark and still used glow fuel with the stock carb. I hate the unreliability of glow plug ignition. I also don't want the hassle of changing the rod bushing and carb to run gas.

Take a look at my thread on the SuperTigre 51 I converted to run on gasoline and oil. I do not use a special carb and it still has bushings in the rod. The carb is a bit sensitive but still usable. I run it on gasoline/oil mix at 16:1. I have had no problems so far with about 2 or 3 hrs of run time. I did run it with the spark ignition on regular glow fuel at first just to see what effect the spark ign. would have. It ran great and idled much better than glow.
Good luck with your experiment.

I've been running my ASP FS52 on the bench on spark ignition with glow fuel, ticks along very well at super low idle and has better combustion (less smoke and especially less castor oil smell on the exhaust)
