I have friend who has a MORRISEY BRAVO that was built around a Tartan Twin many years ago. The Tartan has never been started. It is the glow version. We are thinking of converting by adding a CH ignition and changing the carb. I have been told the Walbro WT158 is a good carb for this conversion. Here are my questions and concerns.
What fuel mix (gas to oil ratio) will be required to run this engine on gas?
I have been told the power will be down after the conversion. How much power will the engine lose on gas?
Thanks

Gas-Glow would be the easiest conversion.
Better idle a few hundred more rpm on the top end.
The Tartan Twins have a great reputation.
Some have even been converted to diesel.

What type of carb is on it now?You can run it the way it is and then decide if you want to make any conversion modifications. From my experience the Tartans are very easy to run engines.
