Default Hall effect magnet too strong?

This one is for the ignition experts. I bought some small magnets from the electronics store to trigger my CH ignition. The magnets are cylindrical 15/64" x 9/64". They are rated at 2 lbs! They are so strong that they stick to either pole of the magnet that came with my CH system. Is this field too strong?

Default Magnet

Nope not to strong, but you have probably demagnetized the stock CH magnet by now.
Make sure you have the right pole facing the sensor before you make it permanent
