Default Almost the same power ??

Can the Toro 25 cc ? with the exhaust muffler removed & replaced with a water cooled header equal a Homlite 25 cc ? Both stock.
I ask as I have to cut some housing off of the Homlite to fit in in side the 4" space on a Newton 48" hydro.
Both engines will be water cooled an run electronic ignitions. No need for the clunky fan / magneto wheel.
I am open to other motors that cost no more than $ 25 used, no joke, as I will need 6 more motors for the boats I am building.

The Toro string trimmer engines are getting hard to find, and you need 6 of them, good luck.
I paid $35.00 when they were easy to come by.

The Toro 2 barrel I would say is a higher performance engine than the Homelite.
But people have been working over the Homie so long it is probally faster.

If you want a cheap used engine with lots of potential I say go Echo.

Talk about bashing an engine ... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_73...tm.htm#7311816

All things are possible.
