I began convesion on a Mcculoch conversion last fall. It ran strong as a weed eater. I trimmed most of the excess aluminum and have it about ready to test out, except I have one problem. Tucked away in a cooling fin almost out of sight I saw a Black Widowspider. I killed him and put the engine in storage during the winter.
Now my question is simple, How do I effectively make sure there are no more of his friends hidden in nooks and crannies in the engine. I have a arachnophobia anyways
Could I safely submerge the enigne in something like antifreeze or something to kill any buddies he may have without killing the engine. I no longer use that old shed as a work shop. I have since bought a better workshop to work in. Thanks

You shouldn't have to worry about any more. They don't hang around with buddies, thats why they call her Black WIDOW.
As long as she didn't leave a puffy white ball behind (egg sack) your OK.
