My understanding that was the machining wasn't all that precise on the older Super Tiger engines, and they required an extensive break in. I have dealt with several of the newer, made in China models and they work very well. They break in fast, and I have had no problems with the carbs.

Echo engines are the best I have found in this size range. I have three airplanes flying with small Echo engines. I have one for sale if you are interested. You can see it here:

av8tor, I had a lady friend give me a like brand new Echo weed wip Model 2400! She said it was too hard to start. Compression is the word. She allready bought a more easy to start low compression model. Yup...it has the right hand crank and is going to be setting in a airplane!

I agree with Av8tor on the Echo brand equipment. Also look for the old small Stihl trimmers. I found them to be of quality and very powerful.

I have an Echo 21.2cc engine that I want to convert.
What parts do I need? Carb? Ignition? Muffler? Prop Hub?
Where can I get them?
I am new to the conversion process so please bear with me.
