What different sizes are available ? Wackers & chain saws ? Do the newest years come with electronics ?
I need 1 for a prototype boat that is 4' long and a old style hydro.
plans built up to a narrow center engine slot area for glowplug engines. Ryobis are very narrow without a full diameter flywheel.
Help ?

For engine conversions your in the right thread but you need to post in the boats also.I know quite a few guys are running 25cc homelites, zenoah 23 and 26ccs.Dont know what else.[for gas].All conversion engines can be made to fit in narrow soaces. You can put a cdi on the engine and then go with a tuned pipe.

Wow, seeing those hulls lined up really brings back the memories! My father raced hydros, never had any luck with the airplanes...so I was exposed to a lot of boat racing before I got the urge to fly instead.
You can pick up a good used Zenoah 26 inexpensively if you look around...and with all of the marine mods available for this engine, it would be hard not to go that route. If you haven't already, get in touch with these guys.... http://www.bhhanson.com/
Oh, and yes, definitely put a copy of this post on the boat forum! Good luck!
