Moped coils ?

Default Moped coils ?

Are there any moped dealers in the USA that sell ignition coils ? Cost $

In the 70's we used to go to K Mart and buy automotive ignition coils and install them in our Japanese and British motorcycles to replace their wimpy coils. Coils are coils pretty much. Size, negatice or positive ground, 12 or 6 volt - thats it.

A low voltage coil (6-12v) is going to be much larger than a CDI coil simpliy because the CDI voltage is going to be 200v +. On a moped no big deal, but in a model weight is important. The CDI coil we use is about a 1" cube, and will NOT work on 12v.

Give TKG a PM and he can set you up with the best coil for your particular application. That's what he does when he's not out flying.

I am glad my doctors are happy with my handeling the medications with no side effects. [:'(]

I did not even see ..tkg's handle. [&o]

Best part of me is still working. My stomach.
