Try here: http://brillellicustoms.com/

Sorry guys; just couldn't resist. (Notice his name.)

I get most of mine from small engine repair shops. Lot's of times they will let you go throught their junk pile and buy engines for 10 to 15 bucks a piece.

The small engine repair guy at my local mom and pop hardware store gives me the stuff in his junk pile for free. Got two nice Homies this week.

its very rare to find an engine for commercial use that is worth having repaired,,,parts and labor cost the same as a new one..I lucked up and went to a small engine shop where a fairly new tanaka had fallen off the truck then the trailer wheel hit it and bent it in half..got it for free

Very true! The two Homie blowers I picked up this week each needed a couple hour's worth of maintenance - mainly cleaning - and now they run great. The two customers ended up walking out to the front of the store and buying a new blower.

I think what Scott is looking for is a study source of engines he can work his magic on.

ALL THE ABOVE PLUS YARD SALES AND AUCTIONS- I SAW OVER 100 TRIMMERS GO IN LOTS OF 10 FOR $2 TO $12 A LOT LAST SUMMER. GUARANTEE YA 95% NEEDED JUST MINOR MAINT. (I CAN'T SAY FOR SURE CUZ I ALREADY HAD BOXES OF LONG BLOCKS) . YARD SALES THEY MIGHT BE ASKING TOO MUCH AT FIRST BUT GO BACK SUNDAY AFTERNOON 2 FOR $5.00. MOST OF THE STUFF THAT DOESN'T FLY IS PLASTIC OR METAL AND THEY'LL LET YA TOSS INTO RECYCLE. [sm=52_52.gif]

That's a nice website, and interesting for someone that wants to convert a "smaller than 46cc" Poulan but keep the magneto instead of going Gas/Glow or CDI ignition. (The 42cc and under Poulan chain saw engines have no provision for mounting the magneto coil on the engine, but this site shows a solution.)
