Looks good, but your cameraman shouldn't ever be standing in the plane of the prop. If anything should go wrong, that's exactly where anything from the prop will go. It's just a matter of safety. That's why multi-engine planes mark the location of the line of the prop both inside and outside of the fuselage.

Is a milling machine necessary to do the crankpin conversion or could you do it on a good drill press?

Thanks,
Mike

this is very cool - i saw the clip

can u please post some tech data:
carb?
prop size?
the way you fit the carb to the engine?
any O-ring replacments?
oil/fule ratio and types?

i think that now that u dont need a back press for the fule tank a beeter muffler should be used - meaning - just a pipe tube - make it LOUD!!!!

can't put a bearing on the rod of the 160 so no need for a hard pin. I do use a lathe to do the crank and rod and make my carb adapters in the cnc mill and lathe. I made the adapter for the carb which is a wt but don't remember the # off hand , I have plenty in the trailer to get the # and will later. The head doesn't have enough beef for the 10mm plug so the 1/4 x 32 is used.

Ken, With your expertise and machinery you should be able to turn yourself a new head with horizontal fins and a 10mm spark plug. would look great also.

I could make a new head but most of these engines are not mine , and when doing them for someone else that really would not be feasable, the cm 6 plugs are getting up there on price and aluminum isn't cheap anymore . I will do a head for my .90 if I ever get caught up on the engines.
