I'm just getting into RC planes. I'm going to be starting with nitro for a while, but I want to move into gas later. I'm lining up a gas project. Has anyone used a engine from a "redmax" weed trimmer? Will it work or is it even worth the effort? The bonus is the engine is free. Anyone ahave thoughts or ideas.

I think the redmax brand is a zenoah engine, if my memory serves me well. If it is free, then i would say go ahead and do it.
What size is the engine? and what type of plane are you thinking of? a pic would be great too.

I have to figure the plane size based on the engine. The plane is Going to be a Vially L-19 1/5 scale.
