What would be a way to convert a Saito FA-100, FA-150 or FA-180 engines to gas EI power? Would the resulting engine conversion have the same thrust/power as the methanol version? Would you use a Walbro carb?

Actually, are there ANY differences, except the carb, between the Saito FA180 and the FG30? I have an older FA180, can this be converted into the equal of the FG30 with a gas Walbro carb, and a RCEXL or CH electronic ignition and 1/4-32 sparkplug? Does it need a shim under the cylinder to lower the compression ratio? TIA

The cylinder on the FG-30 has more cooling fins than the Saito 180.
Also on the FG-30 the intake manifold bolts on with three screws whereas the Saito 180 has a compression nut holding the intake manifold.
On the FG-36 they have a large intake valve and a small exhaust valve to make room for the big NGK CM-6 spark plug.
The FG-30 uses the same valves as the 120
