Very dirty and rough 77cc Stihl. Engine type MS460. Also marked 1A8XS and MD0104. It is covered with fine dust and dirt, like it was stored on a barn shelf during dry plow season.
Conversion possibliities.....Intregal case? Seperate engine? Bulky or svelt?

I am not familiar with that particular model, but most larger chainsaws have integral bodies that are a pain to convert. However, once converted they usually make a lighter engine than the engines that are separate from the machine as originally made. (Like for example the 36 to 46cc Poulan engines/saws.)

The Stihl machines are very high quality and powerful. The only problem is you can't find info on them on the net. For most all the other engines you can find parts blow ups, (schematics) etc., but as far as I have ever been able to find, that info is only for licensed dealers in the case of Sthil products.
