Default cheap gasser plane?

im converting a ryobi 31 cc engine right now and I was wondering if you know of a cheap plane to test it out in. I would rather not build, so it has to be some type of arf. I dont car if it flys like a trainer or whatever just as long as it is inexpensive. i know im probably asking an imposible question.

attached is a picture of my engine so far one question what to do about the single needle carb?

thanks in advance

Cant think of anything cheap. But a big ultra stick should do it. I'm in the same boat, but I'm building a Bandito Grande from RCM plans to run my ryobi's in.

Thanks I will look into that. Might build a few small spads first.

I have a GP Spacewalker with a G23 (converted to CH Ignitions). Came out to around 10 lbs dry all up weight. Balances with 3 servos under the stab perfectly. Great flyer.

I would say a Ryobi on CH Ignitions would be perfect balance-wise with plenty of power to spare, though you'll have to do a main landing gear mod to clear an 18" prop.

For a Ryobi on magneto, those giant SPADs look like just the cheap plane you want.

I belong to the westlake rc club. We fly off of State Route 511 about 5 miles east of Oberlin, on a closed landfill.. http://ourworld.cs.com/wstlkrc/Homepage.htm

For an EXCELLENT test bed for a GASSER try to find a Sig 4-Star 120 that someone is selling. It makes and AWESOME testbed for various gas conversions. Our club has several and we use them for almost everything you could imagine. I have TONS of pics and if you would like more information feel free to email me directly to [email protected] or go to www.rsengines.net and check out the reviews and testimonials. Good luck with whatever you find to test with.

How about one of those big Flybabies,(IMAA legal) available at Tower for 80.00? They say 25cc gas, but you know us modelers!
