The pins for the pull start have to be knocked out from the back side. They are pressed in. If there is no holes on the back side, you will have to drill some.

The darker side of the piston top goes towards the exhaust port.

W8ye,
There is no hole so I will have to drill them. Also on the piston the whole top is black and covored in carbon. Well I took the fly wheel and case to the racing shop to have them machine off the un-needed weight. He was not in, so I left it with his son. Hopefully he will call me about what to do.

You have to take those pins out before the machinst can face the fins like you want them? It takes a little determination to get them started on the way out.

Don't bugger up the flywheel messing with the recoil lever pins?
